There have been some emails coming in asking the same question, “are there any funds to help chaperones pay for their trip?” or, “are there any chaperone donation monies to offset costs?”. So lets go over those answers.
The short answer is, YES there are.
Each student is welcome to fundraise their cost and when that is achieved they may continue fundraising for their, or any, chaperone’s cost.
Also DONATIONS are welcomed to help offset chaperone costs. So if you, or someone you know, would like to give cash, check or money order donations please send them in. Let us know that it is specifically for offsetting chaperone costs and we will apply it to a chaperone. Currently we have two chaperones requesting trip cost assistance.
The easiest way to get donations to us is by mail. Our mail box is checked regularly and it takes about three days to be received. Please make all donations, checks or money orders out to KMS Band Boosters and mail to:
KMS Band Boosters
PO Box 1312
Kingston, WA 98346
Donations can also be made for any student as well.

Fundraising return policy:
If trip monies are paid in cash form and not from any fundraisers, that amount will be refunded.
If monies paid into trip balances from fundraisers, that money is non-refundable.
Let’s go to Victoria!
Sheila has sent out an email to the current known list of chaperones so be checking your in-boxes and junk folders for it. The address it will be from is: email@example.com
If you are a chaperone and did NOT receive an email, please let Sheila know right away.
If you would LIKE to be a chaperone, but haven’t signed up yet, email Sheila. At this time we are short by just a few adults. We are SO close! If you are not sure about chaperoning, but think maybe you would like to, then-YES-do! Join us! Victoria is a wonderful trip, full of wonderful surprises, laughter and FUN!
Parade season is almost here!
After school, 6th Grade, Marching band practice will begin in April.
7th and 8th graders may join in the fun too if they want, or need extra practice. Parents you are welcome to come early at pick up time and watch the magic take shape!
Look for more communication via Skyward from Mr. Haag for the day of the week and ending time. We are looking into after school activity bus transportation availability.
Friendly tip from a ‘second-kid-in-band’ Mom: pack extra snacks and water for the extended day. They’ll probably be really hungry on practice days and welcome the extra treats!
