Band Concert March 19 & Will You Join Our Board?

At the concert we will have the following available:

  • Sweatshirt orders (last chance for the year!)

  • Nominations for all board positions for next year! Nominate a friend!

  • Make payments on your students Disney Trip

  • Turn in unsold See’s Candy or Money


Disney Trip Firm Deadlines

Dear KMS Band Families,

We have some firm deadlines coming up quickly for our Disney Trip! Our trip may be in danger if we do not meet these deadlines for students and chaperones.

Thank you for your prompt attention.

Chaperones: Please get fingerprinted ASAP to chaperone this trip.

You MUST be fingerprinted at North Kitsap School District Office by appointment:

Please contact Therese Caldwell (   360-396-3007to make an appointment to be fingerprinted.

Fingerprinting needs to be done asap as it takes upwards of 3 weeks to get approval once fingerprints have been taken. Chaperones will not be allowed to go on our Disney trip if their fingerprints are not up to date and approved.

Students and Chaperones: Total of $500 nonrefundable airline deposits are due by March 7th.

Each student and chaperone account must have $500 in order to secure airline tickets. The deadline for this $500 in each account is March 7th.

Trip Chaperone Action Item

Hello All!

Did you (like myself) get an email from our chaperone coordinator stating that you needed to complete or update your volunteer paperwork?

Fingerprinting is required to attend this field trip!

Now is the time to take care of this important step. We cannot purchase airline tickets for chaperones until we are sure you can join us on the trip.

You can download and print this Volunteer Packet and return it to the school or district office.

Scholarships are Available

If you are in need of a scholarship for the upcoming Disney Trip please download and complete the application and return it no later than March 7th.



Scholarships Are Available:

  • We are currently able to offer up to 50% of the total cost of the trip.
  • The airline ticket deposit, or partial deposit along with this scholarship application, is due March 7th. You may email the application, print and mail it in to the address provided on the form, or bring it with you to the Booster Meeting on March 7th at 7pm.

OMEA Volunteers Needed!

Saturday, February 24th the OMEA Solo and Ensemble competition will be taking place right here at Kingston Middle and High Schools!

We need your help!!

to sign up for a few hours. We mostly need parents and students to watch the doors during performances, run notes from judges to the office, work concessions stands, and supervise students in their down time.

This is easy volunteer work at its finest, (little to no heavy lifting and lots of wonderful music!) but we can’t do this without you!!

Fundraising Opportunities

Make sure you’re in the know! We send out emails and other communications about fundraising opportunities as they become available. We’ve worked hard to ensure everyone has equal opportunity to access these opportunities. If you feel you are NOT receiving this information here are a few steps you can take:

  5. Read our skyward updates (Mr. Haag generously forwards most of our activity via skyward. Log in to your student’s account and get our latest updates!)
  6. Come to our Band Booster Meetings on the first Wednesday of every month to hear the latest fundraising updates.

We are excited to be able to offer these opportunities in addition to all the fundraising efforts that have, to date, brought in almost $9,000 to reduce the overall cost of the trip to all families! Love this team and the amazing work everyone does to make this year great for our young musicians!
